Bringing together diverse people from the Asia-Pacific region, UNESCO in collaboration with SARAI-Centre for the Study of Developing Societies organised a colloquium on the impact of digital arts in this region. Titled "Old Pathways-New Travellers" - the colloquium sought to build a network for dialogue about new media practices in Asia. "New media has become a part of cinema, architecture and other forms of expression. But unfortunately young people in the Asian region and other parts of the world are not using new media to create cultural content. UNESCO wants to empower young people to use these tools to find new ways of expression,'' said the Deputy Team Leader, Digi-Arts Programme, UNESCO, Tereza Wagner.
