"The digital projector market is growing fast in India as it has various inherent advantages, which includes better image quality, portability and price competitiveness, as compared to LCD projectors. This transition will help us in making a strong foothold in the market," said Barkha Deva, HP-India's Country Category Manager (Digital Imaging). Informing that their projectors, priced between Rs. 1.25 lakhs and Rs. 4.99 lakhs, were for both mobile and the conference room user, Ms. Deva said the new digital projector, xp 8010, was based on the DLP (digital light projector) technology with inbuilt state-of-the-art management, security and networking features to ensure performance and minimal downtime. "The product also allows users to manage and make remote presentations by collaborating with colleagues and clients anywhere on the network with the help of WebEx, Netmeeting or other web-based collaborative tools that are compatible to the projector," she added.
