Rain likely in Tamil Nadu CHENNAI DEC. 6. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Lakshadweep and dry weather prevailed over Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Adiramapattinam, Thiruthuraipoondi (Thiruvarur dt.) and Nagapattinam recorded rainfall of 1 cm each.

The minimum temperature fell appreciably at one or two places over South Interior Karnataka and Interior Tamil Nadu, fell at a places over rest Tamil Nadu, rose appreciably at one or two places over Coastal Karnataka and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably below normal at one or two places over North Coastal Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema and North Interior Karnataka, below normal at one or two places over Interior Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka, Telangana and North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, above normal at one or two places over Coastal Karnataka and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

FORECAST (Valid until Monday morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Coastal Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Southern parts of Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Interior Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Northern parts of Lakshadweep, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
