Judev scandal has ripples in Orissa Assembly

By Our Staff Reporter

BHUBANESWAR DEC. 6. The proceedings of the Orissa Assembly was badly affected for the second day today with Congress legislators demanding that the Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik, be brought under the ambit of the CBI probe in the cash-on-camera scandal of the former Union Minister, Dilip Singh Judev.

The members of the Opposition Congress rushed to the well of the Assembly and disrupted the proceedings soon after zero hour started and the House was adjourned till 2-30 p.m.

When the House resumed, the angry legislators created unruly scenes forcing adjournment of the proceedings for the day.

The agitated Congress members reached near the Speaker's chair when the senior Biju Janata Dal MLA, Maheswar Mohanty, was conducting the proceedings in the afternoon. They yanked out the microphone on the Speaker's podium saying that no business should be conducted till their demand was met.
