BJP bigwigs, led by the Deputy Prime Minister, Lal Krishna Advani, and the party chief, Venkaiah Naidu, will be present. The BJP has also invited all the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Chief Ministers and parliamentary party leaders of the alliance partners. It is unclear whether the Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee, who is scheduled to return from Nigeria on Sunday night, will be present at the swearing in of Uma Bharti and Vasundhara Raje. Mr. Vajpayee had gone to Gandhinagar last year to take part in the swearing-in ceremony of Narendra Modi.
