As a precautionary measure, the police have banned the sale of liquor from 6 a.m. on Sunday to 6 a.m. on Monday in Fraser Town, Commercial Street, Bharathinagar, Shivajinagar, D.J. Halli, K.G. Halli, Krishnarajapuram, Ramamurthynagar, Hennur, Banaswadi, Mahadevapura, Byappanahalli, Indiranagar, Ulsoor, HAL, Jeevanbimanagar, and Airport police station limits. Further, the police have prohibited parking of vehicles on Meenakshi Koil Street, Central Street, St. John's Road (from Dickenson Road junction to Shri Circle), Jogupalya Main Road (G Street), and Hospital Road on Sunday. According to the police, traffic is likely to be affected on Meenakshi Koil Street, Central Street, Hospital Road, Dispensary Road, St. John's Road, and Post Office Road in Shivajinagar; Wheeler Road, K.R. Road, and Shivan Chetty Garden Road in Cox Town; and Jogupalya Main Road, Ulsoor Bazaar Street, Ulsoor Road, Dickenson Road, and Dobhighat Road in Ulsoor in view of the samajotsava. The organisers of the samajotsava have put up saffron flags, banners, and buntings and "welcome" arches on all important roads and near circles in the city.
