Found dead in well

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM Dec. 6. A 50-year-old labourer, Manikantan allegedly committed suicide by jumping into the well in his house at Manjode Colony, Mukkola under Peroorkada police station limits at 7 p.m today.

The body was fished out from the well by the fire force and shifted to the mortuary of the Medical College Hospital. Hospital sources said the deceased jumped into the well in an intoxicated condition. He is survived by his wife, son and daughter.

In another case, a 35-year-old housewife died at the Medical College hospital allegedly after consuming poison. Sources said Ambika, a resident of Mundappavila Veedu, Peyad was rushed to the hospital around 1-40 a.m. on Friday.
