India drubs New Zealand

Aurangabad Dec. 7. A superb unbeaten 96 by opener Jaya Sharma and an equally impressive half century (58) by Anju Jain helped India women defeat their New Zealand counterparts by nine wickets in the second one day international at the Aurangabad District Cricket Association (ADCA) ground here on Sunday. India has now taken a 2-0 lead in the five match series.

The 126-run partnership between openers Anju Jain and Jaya Sharma made it easy for the Indian women to reach the target of 208 runs, set out by the White Ferns. Jaya Sharma was adjudged the woman-of-the-match.
