UTI MF declares 100 p.c. dividend under two plans

MUMBAI DEC. 9. The UTI Mutual Fund (UTI MF) has declared 100 per cent dividends (or Rs. 10 per unit on face value of Rs. 10) for two of its plans, Master Equity Plan 1998 (MEP-98) and Master Equity Plan 1999 (MEP-99). The company has fixed December 10 as record date for the dividend, UTI MF said in a release here today.

`Excellent performance' is the reason for the declaration of the 100 per cent dividends, which are also tax-free at the hands of investors, it said, adding "this is the first time in the history of UTI Mutual Fund that 100 per cent dividends have been declared".

The net asset value of UTI MEP-98 and UTI MEP-99 stood at Rs. 22.62 and Rs. 33.84, respectively on December 4, it said. — PTI
