Speaking on Tuesday at a workshop here on "e-ready EPF today" organised by the Social Security Association of India, AP chapter, he listed the benefits as settlement of claims within two to three days and doing away with the system of submitting proof documents in support of claims for advances. He said mere claim application by the members would be sufficient and their declaration of need itself would be accepted henceforth. Mr. Khanna stated that the employers would also have a lot of benefits under the new system which required them to submit returns through electronic clearance system. He said both employers and the employees would have access to their accounts with the EPFO to know the latest information. The employers would no longer be required to attest the claim applications of the their workmen resulting in increased satisfaction level. According to Mr. Khanna, EPF authorities could now know availability of funds on a day-to-day basis. Priyadarshi Dash, Principal Secretary, Labour, inaugurated the workshop. C.S.Reddy, secretary of the chapter, spoke. Rao V.B.J.Chelikani, president, chaired the workshop which was attended by 100 delegates. B. Krishnamurthy Naidu proposed a vote of thanks.
