All the three generators at the Kayamkulam station had stopped power generation on Monday afternoon. One of the generators was set right this afternoon. The KSEB informed that the situation would not demand additional load-shedding, as feared yesterday. Even on Monday, despite its announcement that an additional 15 minutes' load-shedding might be imposed in some parts of the State, the need to execute it did not arise. The shortage during the peak hours was made good by generating more power at the hydel stations in the State and drawing extra power from the Central grid, the KSEB said.
