Rotary peace mission on India-Pakistan border

CHENNAI Dec. 9. A delegation of 37 Rotarians, led by the Chennai-based Rotary District-3230 Governor, Sv. Rm. Ramanthan, will undertake a Friendship and Peace Mission on the India- Pakistan border on December 11-12.

In a release, Mr. Ramanathan said today there would be signing of sister club arrangements with 11 clubs in Lahore for community service and cooperation. A special walk-in visa had been obtained from Pakistan and the delegation would reach Wagah border.

On December 11 (9 a.m. to 10 a.m.) the group would walk into Pakistan from the border. On the same night, a Sister Club signing function would be held at Lahore where five Pakistan Ministers were scheduled to participate.

On December 12 (between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.) the group would walk into India through the Wagah border.
