Pakistan for train up to New Delhi

By B. Muralidhar Reddy

ISLAMABAD Dec. 9 . Pakistan has said that it would press for extending the services of the Lahore-Attari (Punjab) Samjhauta expresses to New Delhi at the technical level of talks scheduled in New Delhi on December 18. The Pakistan Foreign Minister, Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri, said officials scheduled to take part in the talks on the resumption of rail links would propose the extension.

"It is hoped that the Pakistan railway team which is scheduled to hold talks with the Indian side will return successful."

He was inaugurating a seminar "Conflict resolution and regional co-operation in South Asia" organised by the Islambad Policy Research Institute (IPRI) here.
