Crude bomb explodes
Nagpur
Dec. 9.
A hand-made crude bomb exploded this morning in the goods yard of the Sewagram railway station in Maharashtra's Wardha district.
The bomb exploded near the cable hut of the Signal and Telecommunications Department breaking a few glass windowpanes, besides melting the hut's fencing, the Additional Divisional Railway Manager, (Central Railway, Nagpur), Purushottam Lamghare, said.
However, no one was injured in the explosion, he said.
Mr. Lamghare said train services on the Central Railway were not affected. The blast was reported by the Station Manager and other staff to the Wardha Superintendent of Police, who has ordered an investigation into the incident.
