COIMBATORE: A delegation from Singapore (Textile and Garment Business Mission), consisting of around 30 members, had an interactive meeting with members of the Southern India Mills' Association (SIMA) here on Tuesday. The delegation included representatives from the apparel sector and fabric manufacturers. At the meeting, the SIMA organised a multi-media presentation highlighting the features of the southern textile industry. The delegation also had a meeting with members of the Tirupur Exporters' Association (TEA) in Tirupur on Wednesday. The TEA Secretary, G. Karthikeyan, said that the main objective of the delegation's visit was to explore the business opportunities in India such as outsourcing and setting up production centres.
