In a statement issued here today, the general secretary of the KSEBWA, K.O. Habeeb, said this policy shift had happened after the UDF had assumed charge of the Government. Also, employees who sustained debilitating injuries in accidents and could not continue working were eligible for the benefit of pensions. This too was being withheld by the KSEB, he said. "This is heartless. Dependents of over 100 victims of on-job accidents are awaiting employments in the KSEB," he said, adding that the KSEBWA would be organising a sathyagraha on December 17 to have this `inhuman policy' corrected.
