Commonwealth games

Sir, — Your editorial "Commonwealth games" ( Dec. 11 ) has rightly pointed to the manner in which Britain, Australia and New Zealand succeeded in keeping Zimbabwe out of the Commonwealth. It was unfortunate that this could happen in an association where the bulk of the members are from Africa and Asia.
