Teach, don't knit

Sir, — I refer to the Uttar Pradesh Principal Secretary's direction to school teachers to "Stop knitting, start teaching" (Dec. 11). It is a move in the right direction because the leisure time given to teachers between teaching hours is to enable them to prepare for the next class.
