VSNL, Asia Netcom sign pact

NEW DELHI DEC. 11. Asia Netcom, a Pan-Asian telecommunications services provider, has further signed a bilateral interconnection agreement with Videsh Sanchar Nigam (VSNL) to connect India to Asia Netcom's Pan-Asia fibre cable system, EAC. VSNL and Asia Netcom will now deliver international private line (IPL) services to Indian businesses and carriers over VSNL's capacity on SEA-ME-WE 3 and EAC cables. Additional trans-Pacific capacity will also be carried on the Tyco cable system.
