Thundershowers likely in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI DEC. 12. A depression lies over southeast Bay of Bengal with its center at 0830 hours IST of today within half a degree of latitude 6.0 degree North of longitude 89.0 degree East at about 1250 km southeast of Chennai. It is likely to intensify further and move in a Northwesterly direction.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu and dry weather prevailed over Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep. The minimum temperature rose appreciably at one or two places over interior Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema, rose at a few places over rest Tamil Nadu.

FORECAST (Valid until Sunday morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, south Kerala and south coastal Andhra Pradesh. Mainly dry weather will prevail over north coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Karnataka, north Kerala and Lakshadweep.
