Habib-Shah still on top

MUMBAI Dec. 12. Rafath Habib and Rupesh Shah maintained pole position after five rounds of the Bombay Gymkhana men's doubles (time limit) invitation snooker tournament, sponsored by HDFC Asset Management and co-sponsored by DSP Merrill Lynch, on Friday, even as others inched closed to the leaders.

The front-runners, ahead 900 points after two games, proved too strong for the Siddharth Parekh-Geet Sethi duo on the second day of the round-robin matches at the Bombay Gymkhana Billiards Hall, though allowing Varun Taneja/Devendra Joshi to inch ahead later in the day.

Alok Kumar-Nalin Patel occupied the second spot.
