HYDERABAD DEC. 13. New Zealand's hopes for a change in fortunes, after being blanked in the first three matches, vanished in thin air as India recorded a four-wicket win to take a 4-0 lead in the five-match one-day women's cricket series at the Lal Bahadur Stadium here today.

The scores: New Zealand 213 for five in 50 overs (Kate Pulford 35, Maria Fahey 91, Haidee Tiffen 31, Mamata Kanojia three for 48) lost to India 216 for six in 49.2 overs (Jaya Sharma 51, Anjum Chopra 59, Mithali Raj 46).
