The fight was only for the minor placings and Abbas Ghadiali battled on to finish second while Rayomand Banajee gained places after some skirmishes and black and white flags shown to the other contestants take the third place. In the ladies class, Goa's Shalinee Singh proved to be better than the rest winning the race from Marylene Costa Pereira and Muskan Thakker respectively. The most competitive race was in the junior class where local boy Akshay Hede fought the last few laps neck and neck to beat Ajay Kini. The winners from Goa along with winners from Hyderabad, Pune and Ahmedabad, in the senior section will be eligible to compete along with other regional winners (yet to be staged) for the overall championship to be held at New Delhi in early next year. The results: Senior Class (16 yrs and above, 18 laps): 1. Ameya P. Walavalkar, 2. Abbas Ghadiali, 3. Rayomand Banajee. Ladies Class (6 laps): 1. Shalinee Singh, 2. Marylene Costa Pereira, 3. Muskan Thakar. Junior Class (13 to 15 yrs, 16 laps): 1. Akshay Hede, 2. Ajay Kini, 3. Saahil Shelar. Cadet Class (8 to 12 yrs, 8 laps): 1. Parth Ghorpade, 2. Chittesh Mandody, 3. Nikhil Kashyap.
