A VIP and a wedding reception

NEW DELHI DEC. 14. It was not among the talked-about weddings of this season. Nevertheless, the wedding reception of Naushad and Salza was graced by none other than the Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, today.

Many might wonder who the newly-weds are and with good reason. Naushad is the son of Mr. Vajpayee's regular barber, Naseeruddin. Word has it that Mr. Naseeruddin has been Mr. Vajpayee's barber for 50 years.

Little wonder then that the Prime Minister deemed it fit to venture out on a nippy evening to attend the reception at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences where the groom is employed.
