Search on for 8 terrorists in Kathua

By Our Staff Reporter

JAMMU DEC. 14. A massive search is on for eight terrorists in the Billawar forests of Kathua district in Jammu. Sources told The Hindu that police spotted a hideout of the terrorists at Machaidi Katali last night.

The terrorists, however, escaped but the police managed to arrest a young woman, wife of a commander of the Hizb-ul-Mujahideen. The father of the woman, in whose house the terrorists were staying, and a relative have been arrested.

Five terrorists were killed in the Nangali forest of Poonch district in a joint operation by the police and the Army. The operation is still on.
