Protesting against the Government's decision not to engage them in talks, the junior doctors took to the streets carrying placards and shouting slogans. The procession of over 150 students started from Sri Venkateswara Medical College and after passing through the NTR circle, Gandhi road, Tilak road and Mosque road, culminated at the college premises. They maintained that the Government could not brush their demands aside on the contentious issue of privatisation of medical education as they were very much part of it. Refuting the charge of disrupting medical services, the junior doctors told the Government to stop the misinformation campaign against them, insisting that they were attending to emergency cases.
