Uma Bharti resigns from Lok Sabha

Bhopal Dec. 18. Following her election to the Madhya Pradesh Assembly, the Chief Minister Uma Bharti, today quit her Lok Sabha seat.

Official sources here said that the `sadhvi,' who represented the Bhopal parliamentary constituency, sent her resignation to the Speaker, Manohar Joshi.

Ms. Bharti won from the Malehra seat. — UNI
