Explosives seized

KURNOOL DEC. 19. Police raided a house at Veldurthi in Kurnool district on Friday and seized a large quantity of explosives. According to the police, 3,300 gelatine sticks, 4,174 electric detonators, 12,900 common detonators and 10 coils of fuse wire, valued at Rs.1 lakh, were recovered. A person identified as B. Maddileti alias Venkatramudu, 35, of Gooty stocked the explosives in a rented house and traded in them. He allegedly used private transport service to secure the material from different places.
