Madugula embarks on another feat

By Our Special Correspondent

Hyderabad, Dec. 19. "Avadhana Sahasraphani", Madugula Nagaphani Sarma, embarked on yet another literary feat on Friday by taking on 522 stalwarts of various fields to put to a gruelling test his memory power and literary prowess through a "pancha satavadhanam."

There is a two-fold aim to the programme: one to promote the virtues of memory power and inculcate the same in youngsters and the other, to revive the glory of Telugu culture and literature as the art of avadhanam involves essentially the authority of the performer and questioners, on various fields of literature and experimentations in writing skills.

Dr.Nagaphani Sarma will be dealing with the challenging tasks like `dattapadi, samasyapuranam, varnana, asuvu, nishiddhakshari, anuvadam, nrithyapadi, swarapadi and aprasthuta prasangam'.

The event organised by the Avadhana Saraswathi Peetham and Pancha Satavadhana Committee was inaugurated by the Chief Minister, N.Chandrababu Naidu, at the Lalitha Kala Thoranam.

The programme will be on till December 28 every day between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
