Saravanan's effort in vain

KARAIKUDI DEC. 19. P. Saravanan's all-round effort (six for 29 and 55) went in vain as Gangai Brothers CC beat Leaders by two wickets in the Indian Bank— Sivagangai District Cricket Association `B' division league here recently. For Gangai Brothers, Senthil Rajan claimed five for 12.

The scores:

`A' division: Vanchi CC 133 in 37 overs (Basir 34, John Paul three for 23) lost to AP Tech WBC CC 134 for nine in 36 overs (Arokya Alexander 27, Joe Antony 29, Ramachandran four for 32).

`B' division: Leaders CC 117 in 31 overs (P. Saravanan 55, Senthil Rajan five for 12) lost to Gangai Brothers CC 118 for eight in 28 overs (Balasubramanian 27, P. Saravanan six for 29).

B. Tech CC 191 in 39 overs (Rajkumar 25, Bharat Ram 35) lost to KTCC 192 for four in 32 overs (Senthil Murugan 33, Saravanan 28, Nagendran 28, Ganesan 30, Dinesh three for 22).

`C' division: Newland CC 194 in 30 overs (Palaniappan 29, Umasekar 28, Shanmugam 43, Ramachandran three for 32) beat Moonlight CC 58 in 15 overs (Noorul Ameen six for 14, Rajasekar three for seven).
