By P. K. Bhardwaj
The decks were finally cleared when the railway delegations of both the countries thrashed out an agreement today. At the end of their two-day talks, the delegations announced that the train would start operating between Attari and Lahore from January 15, contrary to the speculation about restoration of the service from Christmas or New Year Day. It would be a bi-weekly service as was the case when it was abandoned on January 1, 2002. Freight services would resume simultaneously from that day.
