Homeo doctors burn CM's effigy

By Our Staff Reporter

Cuddapah Dec. 20. Members of the Homeopathic Junior Doctors Association, Government Homeopathic Medical College Students Union and Athe .P. State Medicos Committee took out a rally from the Cuddapah Government hospital to the Collectorate on Saturday and burnt an effigy of the Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu.

The Junior Doctors Association president, V. Karunakar, secretary, C. Srinivas, Homeopathic Students Union chairman, M. Adiseshu, vice-chairman, Hari Obulesu and Medicos Committee district president, B. Sridhar, led the protest in support of the ongoing stir by junior doctors and raised slogans against the CM.

Addressing students, the leaders demanded scrapping of G.O. No. 90, which would lead to rise in user charges and harm the interests of poor patients, due to lack of Government's financial support. They demanded stoppage of sanction of private medical colleges at will and improvement in facilities in existing Government colleges and hospitals. They also flayed the steep fees fixed for self-finance courses in medicine and post-graduate colleges and demanded its withdrawal.
