Pakistan Rangers, BSF meet

By B. Muralidhar Reddy

ISLAMABAD Dec. 20. After a gap of two years representatives of the Pakistan Rangers and the Border Security Force (BSF) met at the Wagah border to discuss a host of issues.

The practice of monthly meeting between the two border forces had come to a halt after relations between India and Pakistan deteriorated in the wake of December 13, 2001 attack on Indian Parliament.

The meeting is to discuss routine matters such as border-crossing, boundary pillars, the movement of cattle and patrolling. A delegation of the BSF crossed the Wagah border this morning to attend the meeting on the Pakistani side.
