CHENNAI DEC. 20. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Dry weather prevailed over Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Kochi Airport recorded a heavy rainfall of 10 cm.

The other chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cm:

Sengottai (Tirunelveli dt.) 2 and Nanguneri (Tirunelveli dt.), Thuckalay (Kanyakumari dt.), and Cherthala (Alapuzha dt.) 1 each.

The minimum temperature fell at a few places over Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over Kerala, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, rose at one or two places over rest of Kerala and changed a little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably below normal at one or two places over interior Tamil Nadu, below normal at a few places over Rayalaseema, at one or two places over Telangana, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Coastal and South Interior Karnataka, above normal at one or two places over Kerala, North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Adilabad and Medak recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 11 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (Valid until Monday morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and southern parts of Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over northern parts of Lakshadweep, Rayalaseema, Telangana, north coastal Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
