In the near future, the CISF is planning to deploy one more company, besides the existing two, for the security of the monument which is being spruced up for the purposes of tourism and conservation of heritage by the Union Tourism and Culture Ministry. Further, the CISF is also planning to install a complete set of searchlights and flood lights in remotest corners of the Fort to ensure better surveillance during night. Already training of the commandos for the crucial job of securing one of the most important landmarks of Indian history is going on in full swing. A strategic review of the security needs is likely to be carried in further detail once the CISF takes the charge of Red Fort security on Monday.
