While Indian Airlines and Jet Airways flights between Delhi and Chandigarh were cancelled, some trains were also delayed due to thick fog early in the morning. The heavy fog also disturbed the schedule of several buses coming to Delhi from these states. According to Northern Railways, several trains coming from the North were delayed as thick fog had enveloped parts of Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, and Jammu and Kashmir. Some trains were reported to be running over six hours late. Among the trains which were delayed by the fog were Amritsar-Barauni Express, Unchhar Express, Malwa Express, Shane-e-Punjab, Lucknow-Chandigarh Express, Frontier Mail and the Amritsar Shatabdi. The heavy fog also disturbed the schedule of several buses coming to Delhi from these states.
