Mr. Jogi and his family members were not present in the house when the agency sleuths began searching the residence allotted to him as the Chief Minister of the State, CBI sources said. He has not vacated the official residence as yet. Mr. Jogi is alleged to have bribed the BJP leaders to prevent the saffron party from forming the Government in the State after the Assembly polls. On December 9, the CBI registered a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act against Mr. Jogi, his son Amit and the defected BJP MP, P.R. Khunte, for allegedly trying to bribe the BJP MLAs. The raids were also conducted at the Raipur and Delhi residence of Mr. Jogi and his son. The CBI sources said that some incriminating documents had been recovered from their residence which would be scrutnised. PTI
