Letters to the Editor
Sir, C. Raja Mohan's, `Open borders and closed minds' (Dec. 22) raises valid objections to the Prime Minister's call for open borders in the subcontinent. The track history of the erstwhile India-Nepal open border is revealing. With the border kept rather open, bilateral relations actually worsened. It is better to have tightly closed borders with open minds. C.P. Velayudhan Nair, Kochi, Kerala
