By Our Legal Correspondent
The judge was allowing two criminal petitions filed by Tummala Nageswara Rao, Minister, and Veerabhadraiah, former Managing Director of the Andhra Pradesh Beverages Corporation. They challenged the order of the trial court ordering investigation. The Special Judge for Special Police Establishment (SPE) and Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Hyderabad, entertained a complaint wherein it was alleged that an amount of Rs. 550 crores was siphoned off while purchasing liquor by the Corporation through tenders. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, without making any comments on the judgment, castigated the Congress for adopting obstructive tactics.
