Kidnapped boy rescued

BANGALORE DEC. 22. Nelamangala police in Bangalore Rural district on Monday rescued a four-year-old boy who had been kidnapped from Chikkabidarakallu village.

According to police, Mohammed Fakruddin, son of Babu, a contractor, was reported missing from Chikkabidarakallu on Saturday afternoon.

On Sunday morning, Mr. Babu received a call from the kidnappers, who demanded a ransom of Rs. 1 lakh for releasing Fakruddin.

Mr. Babu lodged a complaint with Nelamangala police. Police arrested Tauseef, a friend of Mr. Babu, who had come to collect the ransom, and two others, Nawaz and Asif.

Later, they rescued the boy from a house in Govindapura in K.G. Halli police station limits in the city.

Another kidnapping

A five-year-old boy, Balaji, was kidnapped from the K.C. General Hospital in Malleswaram on Monday morning.

The boy had accompanied his mother, Shashikala, to the hospital.
