Vajpayee tallest surviving leader: Karunanidhi

CHENNAI DEC. 25. Describing the Prime Minister, A.B. Vajpayee, as the "tallest surviving leader of the country", the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam president and former Chief Minister, M. Karunanidhi, in his message sent to him on the occasion of the Prime Minister's birthday celebrations, has desired that his service to the nation continue for years to come.

The Pattali Makkal Katchi founder, S. Ramadoss, in his message to the Prime Minister said: "I wish you many more glorious successes in the years ahead.''

Similar wishes were extended by the Union Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication, S. Thirunavukkarasar, and the BJP national secretary, L. Ganesan, to the Prime Minister.
