Film industry pays tribute to Ramanujam

By Our Staff Reporter

CHENNAI DEC. 25. The Tamil film industry paid tribute to D. Ramanujam, former president of the South India Film Chamber of Commerce, who passed away recently. A condolence meeting was held at the chamber premises on Monday.

Ramanujam, considered as "the undisputable leader of the South Indian Film Industry," held the post of honorary secretary of the Film Chamber for about 20 times before he took charge as its president in 1981. He was also the general secretary of the Tamil Nadu Film Exhibitors Association since its inception and the president of the Film Federation of India in 1984.
