Tremor in Nagpur

Nagpur Dec. 27. An earthquake of mild intensity measuring 3.1 on the Richter scale rocked the city in the early hours today. The Met office said the quake had its epicentre in Akola district of Maharashtra.

A report from Khargone said the Narmada Valley areas in Madhya Pradesh here were rocked by tremors measuring 4 on the Richter scale over the past two days. Following the tremors in Badwani near here last night, panic-stricken people went out of their houses but no loss of property or life was reported, district administration sources said here today. — PTI
