Speaking on the occasion, the head of Hospital's Board of Management, S.K. Sama, said doctors in his hospital worked as a team who always tried to give a new-born child the best to ensure his proper development. The function's chief guest, Shyama Chona, the Principal of Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram, and the founder of "Tamanna" and "Hope", the schools for children with special needs, said Sir Ganga Ram Hospital had developed an excellent medical infrastructure and was doing a tremendous job in giving excellent treatment facilities. The Department of Neonatology Chairperson, Neelam Kler, said, "As of today, there are four million babies dying across the globe. Out of these 30 per cent are in India. At the Hospital, we admit about 100 babies suffering from various problems like low birth weight, premature babies, asphyxia, infections and congenital malformations."
