Madras retains title

CHENNAI DEC. 28. Madras retained the title in the all-India inter-University women's inter-zonal table tennis championship, organised by JIWAJI University, on December 24 at Gwalior, pipping Pune 3-2 in the final.

The results (final): Madras bt Pune 3-2 (S. Prasanna bt Neha Sidhai 3-0; M. Aparna lost to Mansi Bhagwath 0-3; M. Revathy lost to Shipra Gokte 2-3; S. Prasanna bt Mansi Bhagwath 3-0; M. Aparna bt Neha Sidhai 3-1).
