Negi, Sethuraman continue to lead

NEW DELHI DEC. 28. Parimarjan Negi and S.P. Sethuraman continued to lead the field with 8.5 points each after the 10th and penultimate round of the National under-10 chess championship at the Bapu Samaj Sewa Kendra here on Sunday.

Negi drew with Tejesh Chandra and Sethuraman held the top seed Y. Sandeep. Since Negi has a better tie-break score, he will take the title even if he ties for it on Monday.

Among the girls, Devangi Patankar regained the lead after beating S.V. Sathya Priya in the eighth and penultimate round. On the top board, Bhakti Kulkarni drew with G. Madansri.
