Individuals do not matter: CPI(M)

NEW DELHI DEC. 28. The CPI(M) today adopted a wait and watch approach to the remarks of the Congress president, Sonia Gandhi, that the party would leave the issue of prime ministership to the people and said the main concern was not about individuals but the policies followed by the party.

``As the main opposition party, it has been following the same economic policy (as the Vajpayee Government). We want to see whether there are any changes in the policies that the Congress adopts. Individuals do not matter,'' said Prakash Karat, member of the CPI(M) politburo.
