Railways appoints 5 General Managers

NEW DELHI DEC. 29. The Railway Ministry today announced the appointment of five new General Managers in a reshuffle.

The Railway Board Secretary, R. R. Bhandari, has been appointed General Manager of the South-Eastern Railway, Kolkata, on the incumbent, V. N. Garg, attaining superannuation.

The Additional Member (Works), Railway Board, S.R. Chowdhuri, will be the new General Manager, Eastern Coast Railway, Bhubaneswar.

The Additional Member (Mechanical Engineering), M. Z. Ansari, has been appointed General Manager, Western Railway, Mumbai.

Shyam Kumar, Additional Member (Civil Engineering), will take over as General Manager, Eastern Railway, Kolkata, while S.B. Ghosh Dastidar, Additional Member (Traffic), Railway Board, has been appointed General Manager, Central Railway, Mumbai.
