The State Cabinet meeting on Monday finalised the new port policy which proposes setting up of a Orissa Maritime Board. The Board which will conduct a survey and encourage private sector participation in establishment of the 11 ports at Gopalpur, Dhamra, Baliharchandi, Astarang, Chudamani, Palur, Bahuda, Inchudi, Subarnarekha mouth, Bahabalpur and Jatadhari mouth. The State has one major port in Paradip.
