LAWAYPORA DEC. 30 . At least 33 soldiers and a woman were injured in a powerful landmine blast in Lawaypora village on the Srinagar-Uri national highway, while a soldier and three militants were killed in a gun battle in Rajouri district. Traffic was disrupted on the Srinagar-Uri highway for nearly two hours following the incident. The condition of four injured jawans was stated to be critical. The bus, which was part of an Army convoy, was on its way to Uri. When the bus reached Lawaypora, militants detonated the mine with a remote control device throwing the bus several metres away.
